Patterson Mill's boys lacrosse team kept its Chesapeake title hopes alive Tuesday night with a hard fought 9-4 win over host Havre de Grace.
Patterson Mill led 5-1 at the half.
Josh Wilson scored three goals to pace the Huskies (4-1/10-3), while Deonte Alston netted two goals. Mike McIntyre, Chase Wedekind, Chase Tallon and Brandon Burris also had goals for the winners.
Justin Gosnell led the Warriors (1-5/7-5) with a pair of goals, while Chris Schulz and Nick Burley each had one.
Wedekind and Burris each had assists for Patterson Mill. Casey Brown, Gosnell, Donald Matts and Connor Haffey had assists for Havre de Grace.
Patterson Mill keeper Jay Kuhn made 11 saves. Havre de Grace used two goalies, with Brian Cameron making 16 saves and Derek Freels making three.
Fallston needs one win
The Fallston Cougars boys lacrosse team moved to within a win of clinching the UCBAC's Chesapeake Division Tuesday afternoon with a 20-3 spanking of host North East.
Kyle D'Onofrio scored four goals to pace the Cougars (5-0/7-5), while Greg Horsham and Zach Wheeler added three goals each.
Marc Badger, Nick Baker, Brenden Nolan and Jeremy Scranton netted two goals apiece and Zack Esser and Jason Lawrence added single tallies.
Badger and Nolan dished out two assists each, while single assists were credited to Austin Braerman, Sam D'Onofrio, Chris Dunnigan, Travis Greene, Horsham, Scranton and Wheeler.
Fallston played two goalies, with Caleb Abney making five saves and Mark Wollenweber making three.
The Cougars played Bel Air Thursday night to try and claim the division title.
Cobras survive Aberdeen
Harford Tech (6-0/6-4) survived a scare from visiting Aberdeen (2-4/3-8) Tuesday night in their key Susquehanna matchup. The Cobras led 6-2 at the half, but found themselves tied 7-7 early in the final quarter.
Tech, however, dominated possession in the final minutes, allowing them to pull away for the 11-7 win.
Zack Valenti led the Cobras with six goals, while Tyler Fullem added two goals and one assist. Zac Taylor, Mike Mentzer and Greg Ransone also scored for Tech.
Dan Ashburn, Taylor and Ron Huber also had assists.
Justin Howard led Aberdeen with three goals and Kevin Shumaker had two goals and one assist. Jon Jones added a goal and two assists and Dylan Mauzy also had a goal.
Jake Kilmon and Blaise Curtis added assists for the Eagles.
