Harford County firefighters extinguished a blaze at the Best Western in Abingdon Sunday morning, the county's Volunteer Fire & EMS Association reported.
Smoke was showing at about 8 a.m. from the facility on 1709 Edgewood Road, where the fire began in a laundry room, the association said. The hotel is just south of the I-95/Route 24 interchange.
The fire was contained within 15 minutes and no injuries were reported.
Edgewood Road was temporarily closed so a hose could be stretched to a hydrant across the street.
Firefighters from Abingdon, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Joppa-Magnolia and Bel Air fire companies responded to the incident.
A nearby Denny's restaurant was the scene of a fire in early August that caused substantial damage to the building and is suspected of being arson.
