Maryland State Police say they are investigating the death of a 33-year-old Harford County woman who was found unresponsive Monday afternoon in an Edgewood motel.
Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack were called to the Edgewood Motel, in the 2200 block of Pulaski Highway, shortly before 1 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive female, according to a state police news release.
Upon their arrival, the troopers found a woman unconscious in her room. Paramedics from Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company pronounced the woman dead at 1:04 p.m., according to the release.
State police say the dead woman has been identified as Melissa Marie Miceli, of Havre de Grace.
Troopers executed a search warrant at the motel and found several personal items to include a purse, wallet and miscellaneous clothing.
As of Tuesday afternoon, state police said foul play does not appear to be involved in the death, but troopers were waiting on autopsy results as the investigation continues.
