Two school buses with students on board were in accidents in the past week, though no none was hurt in either one.
The first, last Friday at 8:30 a.m., happened on the Hickory Bypass when, according to an accident report, the school bus made a right turn on red to go north on the bypass and struck a car in the left lane.
Although 30 students were on the bus at the time; there were no injuries. Barbara Chamberlain, of the 400 block of Underwood Circle in Bel Air, was driving the bus, owned by Moxley Bus Service.
The second accident involving a school bus was Tuesday around 8:23 a.m., at Perch Place and Lake Vista Drive in Abingdon. In this incident, according to calls for service from the Harford County Sheriff's Office, approximately 18 students were on board when the bus hit a tractor trailer that was parked at a construction site.
No injuries were reported in that accident either.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
