A Bel Air couple was being held at the Harford County Detention Center Tuesday afternoon after being charged with robbery.

Edmund and Tia Cochran, of the 100 block of Chatham Place, both appeared before Harford District Court Judge John L. Dunnigan for a bail review hearing Tuesday afternoon.

The Cochrans are both charged with robbery, possession of a drug other than marijuana, theft less than $1,000 and resisting arrest. Tia Cochran also faces a reckless endangerment charge.

They were arrested in connection with an incident Monday, according to online court records.

The couple followed someone from a pain clinic to a pharmacy, where Edmund Cochran allegedly grabbed the pills from the person, according to Assistant State's Attorney Jeffrey Michael.

Michael, who added that Tia Cochran stayed in the vehicle during the alleged robbery, requested for both bails to remain as set, at $50,000 for Edmund Cochran and $20,000 for Tia Cochran.

Public Defender Timothy Bar represented both Cochrans, pointing out that they have been married for 15 years and lived their entire lives in Maryland.

Dunnigan left both bails as set.

As of Tuesday afternoon, both people were being held at the Harford County Detention Center.
