Summer's not over yet — there's still time to get in some fun in the sun and taste what the season has to offer.
The Delta Cardiff Whiteford Business Organization will host the 2012 PeachFest 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Peach Bottom Recreation Center, 5 Pendyrus St., Delta, Pa.
Last year's event was canceled because of Hurricane Irene. Barring any other natural disasters, PeachFest will be held rain or shine. Admission and parking are free.
The day kicks off at 7 a.m. at Trinity AME Zion Church, 1006 Main St. in Delta, with a pancake breakfast.
The DCW Business Organization warns the breakfast ends when it is sold out, which is typically by 9 a.m.
Over at the rec center, the quaint community will be filled with arts and crafts, music, local produce and lots of peaches from local orchards, such as Susquehanna Orchards, The Mill of Whiteford/Wilson Mill Orchards and Shaw Orchards.
The Mill will also sell plants and lawn and garden and farm supplies. Other vendors will be selling jewelry, accessories, sports-themed crafts and handmade goods.
Eclectic folk bank The Bean Soup Project will perform until noon and Head Rush will pick up where they left off and play until the end of the festival.
Not a fan of peaches? There will be lots of other festival treats — turkey legs, pit beef, crab cakes, baked goods and ice cream, just to name a few.
For the kids, there will be a moon bounce, face painting, reptiles with the Critter Caravan and other games.
Attendees can park at the recreation center; additional parking will be at Peach Bottom Elementary School, 1081 Atom Road.
