The Aberdeen IronBirds picked up their third straight victory on Wednesday, defeating the visiting Jamestown Jammers, 8-1.
With the win, Aberdeen improved to 14-23 on the season.
The IronBirds' big inning turned out to be the third, when they rallied for five runs.
Aberdeen starter Mark Blackmar (3-3) got the victory, going six innings in which he held the Jammers to one earned run six hits, struck out two and walked three.
IronBird shortstop Joel Hutter led his team at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBIs and one run. Creede Simpson went 1-for-3 with two RBIs in the victory, while Christian Walker and Torsten Boss both scored a pair of runs for Aberdeen.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
