The man killed last week when a deer crashed through the windshield of a car he was in was identified Monday as Pablo Jimenez Velazquez, 56, of Glen Arm, in Baltimore County.
Velazquez lived in the 4700 block of Long Green Pike in Glen Arm, according to Maryland State Police.
He was the middle passenger in a Ford F650, a mid-size dump truck, when a deer that had been hit by a car going in the opposite direction went flying through the truck's windshield, according to State Police Sgt. Jeff Kloiber.
He was sitting between the driver, Jose Juarez-Alvarez, 40, of Forest Hill, and Octavio Zavala, 39, also of Glen Arm, the right front passenger. All were wearing seat belts. They were headed west on Route 23 near the Morse Road overpass in Forest Hill around 8:30 a.m. They worked for Cedar Ridge Landscape Inc. of Glen Arm.
As they were traveling, a deer that had been hit by another car went through the dump truck's windshield, Kloiber said.
It was the 20th fatal accident on Harford County roads this year.
