Letter writer thankful for community support

Editor:

I am writing to thank everyone who came out to support my fundraiser held in the fellowship hall of Grace Reformed Episcopal Church in Havre de Grace.

Mrs. Kimie Ranken made the event possible by reserving the hall as well as providing the many volunteers who prepared and served the delicious spaghetti. Special thanks to Jay and Barb Davis, Bill Ranken, Cape and Julie Ranken, Kate Sample, Bill Sedberry, Ann Stubbs, Dawn Specht and Pastor Mark Specht and his wife, Christine Specht, for working so diligently to make the evening a success.

Additional thanks go out to Lou Ward and Chris Zinser of the Bayou Restaurant for their donation of the rolls and for Ken Beyer and Chiapparelli's for providing the salad and additional noodles and for helping out in the kitchen during the Big Rush.

By the time you are reading this, I will be finishing my second week of classes in Germany. During the short time since arriving here, I have had the opportunity to appreciate even more greatly the love and generosity shown to me by the community of Havre de Grace as well as my church family at Mountain Christian Church. Your support has truly been a blessing, thank you.

For those of you who don't know, I am working with a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) team which involves me spending the next three months in Germany and the following three months in either Asia or Africa. I encourage you to check out the YWAM website at http://www.ywam.org where you can learn more about the organization.

Again, thank you so much for becoming part of my story as I strive to become whom God wants me to be while ministering to those in need on the other side of the globe.
