An accident in Forest Hill Saturday claimed the life of a Joppa man after he was ejected from his motorcycle then hit by a car.
Around 12:26 p.m. Saturday, Young IIui Park of Baltimore was driving a 2008 Honda Accord south on Rockspring Road, according to a release from Maryland State Police with the Bel Air Barrack.
At the same time, Edward John Rogers III, 54, of Joppa, was driving a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Rockspring Road.
When Park tried to make a left turn onto Myers Drive, he did not yield right of way and the motorcycle hit the back of the Honda, according to state police.
Rogers was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on Rockspring Road in the lane for southbound traffic, where he was hit by a 1994 Mazda pickup truck driven by William Clyde Hensley 3rd of Whiteford, according to state police.
Rogers was flown by Medevac helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the crash. Rogers died Monday, according to state police.
His death marks the 11th on roads in Harford County this year.
