Early in the morning the day after Christmas, Havre de Grace police responded to a call that eventually led to sex offense charges against Michael Duane Short, 33, of Elkton.
Short is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.
After they arrived at an apartment in Havre de Grace, police were told Short and another man had been having sex with a 15-year-old girl who lives in the apartment.
The alleged sexual relationship between the girl, according to court records, and the men allegedly included trysts in Havre de Grace, Elkton, Aberdeen and Glen Burnie beginning in October and continuing through Christmas night. There is conflicting information, according to court records, about whether there was any sexual activity between the girl and the other man.
Short is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center on third- and fourth-degree sex offense charges. District Court Judge Mimi Cooper, after hearing from the prosecution that Short has 17 prior arrests and seven convictions, revoked his bond during a bail review hearing Wednesday afternoon.
