Tom Oliver was guest of honor at an 80th birthday party at the Green Turtle last weekend. The party was given by his daughters, Colleen and Kathy. More than 30 people attended.
Our daughter, Ruth, and Hannah Ventela flew in from Saratoga, N.Y., to spend the weekend with us. Saturday we had an old fashioned Southall crab feast at the home of Roger's parents, Herbert and Mary Lou Southall, with all the Southalls in attendance. Sunday they visited the Camden Aquarium in New Jersey along with my niece, Issi Glatts. After the aquarium visit we went to my sister, Susie Glatt's home where the Lehman family had a picnic. Those at the picnic included Roger and I, Ruth and Hannah, Susie, Jimmy, Kelsey and Issi Glatts and Cindi Labant. The aunts proceeded to spoil Hannah with gifts because they had not seen her in a while. Aunt Susie had a stuffed golden retriever dog just like Hannah's Zeke and a stuffed kitty then Aunt Cindi came in with a dolly in an umbrella stroller. Guess which one won out. The aunts teased each other saying on was out doing the other. It was hysterical.
Two weeks ago, Kelsey and Susie Glatts visited the University of North Carolina, where Kelsey in considering attending to study chemistry.
