Three Harford County fire companies responded Saturday afternoon to a two-alarm blaze that destroyed a York County home.
Firefighters from the Darlington, Whiteford and Norrisville companies responded to the call on Woodbine Road in Delta at about 4 p.m., Harford County Fire & Ambulance Association spokesman Rich Gardiner said Sunday.
At least half a dozen York County fire companies were also involved in fighting the fire in 100-plus degree heat, according to emergency radio dispatches monitored during the time of the fire calls.
The house fire displaced three adults and two children, which are being assisted by the Red Cross, according to the York Daily Record.
The fire was caused by a tree falling across power lines after strong winds, according to the York Daily Record.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
