The vehicle police believe was involved in a fatal Perry Hall hit-and-run pedestrian accident last month was found in Harford County last week.
On Jan. 23, a Ford 500 struck and killed Beverly Moore, 68, of the first block of Bourbon Court in Parkville, as she was crossing Seven Courts Drive near the intersection of Lincolnshire Court, according to a Baltimore County Police news release.
The Ford was in the inner southbound lane along Seven Courts Drive behind another vehicle which had stopped to let Ms. Moore cross, when the Ford passed the vehicle and struck Ms. Moore, police said. The driver of the Ford didn't stop and witnesses saw it turn onto westbound Joppa Road, according to the release.
After conducting interviews and receiving an anonymous tip, Harford County sheriff's deputies were able to find the vehicle in Harford County on Feb. 1, Det. Cathy Batton of the Baltimore County Police Department said Monday. Batton declined to say exactly where the vehicle was found, citing the ongoing investigation.
Although the vehicle was found in Harford County, investigators are still trying to determine who was driving it at the time of the crash, Batton added.
It is unknown if the driver has any connection to Harford County, she said.
