Harford Christian School students brought back four first place trophies in the annual Maryland Association of Christian Schools Elementary School Fine Arts Competition held at Calvary Baptist Church Christian Academy in Glen Burnie. MACS fine arts competitions take place in two divisions, academic and music. Both are held in the spring.
This year's Academic & Projects first place results included Kate Meise (science), Joy Edwards (sewing), Mekenzie Olinger (painting) and Karaghan White (drawing).
Darlington Dublin Community Council will hold its town meeting on Thursday, April 25 at the Darlington Volunteer Fire Co. at 7 p.m. Wonder what's going on? Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No questions asked! Harford County will have three drop locations for unused and expired medicines: the parking lot of the County Office Building, 220 S. Main St. Bel Air, Havre de Grace Police Station, 715 Pennington Ave., Havre de Grace; and Maryland State Police Barrack D, 1401 Belair Road, Bel Air.
The Dublin Country Fair is coming Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is not to far away, so plan to come out for this special event. Don't miss this wonderful annual gathering on the school grounds of Dublin Elementary School with a parade to begin the activities at 10 a.m traveling throughout the community. The festivities will then go to the school grounds where visitors can enjoy the many vendors, including food, decorations, cosmetics, craft items, special products and games for the children. It will also surprise you when you see so many friends who haven't seen in quite some time. There will be entertainment throughout the day. The annual Maypole Dance will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 a.m on the outside field at Dublin Elementary School. All fifth-graders will perform the dance with ribbons and flowers. The community is invited to join in this special event. This is sure to bring back some memories. Come out and support the children.

Ugly Waitress Spaghetti Dinner. The firefighters of Darlington Volunteer Fire Company are joining with the men of the Lions Club to serve up a spaghetti dinner that includes salad, bread, dessert and drinks. What will make this even better is the men will borrow from the wardrobes of their wives, mothers or significant others to dress for the occasion. It is a sight that you won't want to miss. Dinner is $8 and will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at the social hall of Darlington fire company. In addition to a great meal, you'll have an opportunity to vote for your favorite waitress.
