A 15-year-old skateboarder was critically injured in the Street area of northern Harford County after he was hit by a car Sunday afternoon, police said.
The boy was on a skateboard when he was struck at about 12:46 p.m. by a vehicle at Sandy Hook and Scarboro roads, a Harford County Sheriff's Office deputy confirmed.
The boy, a Jarrettsville resident, was flown to a regional trauma center with critical injuries.
He was on his skateboard heading west on Sandy Hook Road when he was struck by the driver of a 1996 Mercury, who had swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid hitting him, according to the accident report.
No charges have been filed.
