Two people were transported for medical attention following a single vehicle accident in Creswell, Harford County Friday morning.
The accident was reported about 11 a.m. for a vehicle in a field off Route 136, near Schucks Road, with "two unconscious subjects" inside. The driver, Mindy Parks, 41, of Belcamp, ran off the road and went airborne before landing in a field, according to Maryland State Police troopers, who responded to the crash with rescue and ambulance units from the Bel Air and Abingdon volunteer fire companies.
Shelby Parks, 20, the passenger in the car, was transported by a Medevac helicopter to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association Spokesman Rich Gardiner. Mindy Parks was transported by ambulance to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.
A duty officer with the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack said the injuries of the first person were non-life threatening and the flyout was just for "precaution." He also said troopers at the scene determined the vehicle ran off the road, but they did not yet know the reason.
According to radio dispatches and people at the scene, a dog in the car was turned over to county animal control for attention.
Circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
