Woman robbed on school playground at Belcamp

Theft

A man attacked and robbed an Aberdeen woman on a school playground in Belcamp on Tuesday, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

The victim, 28, of the 600 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard, told police at 8:38 p.m. she was at the playground at Church Creek Elementary School, in the 4000 block of Church Creek Road, with her son when she got into an argument with the suspect.

He began to pull her hair, punched her in the mouth and bit her on the neck and arm, Sheriff's Office spokesman Eddie Hopkins said Wednesday.

He then took her purse and ran off.

She was treated by Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company and released.

The robber was wearing a navy-and-black hooded sweatshirt with jeans, black hat and blue-and-white shoes and is about 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall.

The victim told police she knows the suspect. Police searched the area but found nothing. The investigation is continuing.
