Forest Hill resident Jeff Martindale was recently awarded his Eagle Scout rank with Boy Scout Troop 777 at a Court of Honor ceremony at Bel Air United Methodist Church in Bel Air.
For his Eagle project, Martindale supervised the construction and installation of many trail signs and three 6-foot benches along the trails at Eden Mill Nature Center in Pylesville.
Martindale began his scouting career as a Cub Scout in Pack 999 in Forest Hill earning the Arrow of Light award in 2005. While a Boy Scout, he held many leadership positions including Scribe, Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader. Martindale also enjoyed the High Adventure scout camps of Northern Tier (wilderness canoe camping) in Bissett, Manitoba, Canada in 2009 and Philmont Scout Ranch (backpacking) in New Mexico in 2011.
Martindale graduated from Bel Air High School in 2012 and attends Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa., where he plays football.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
