Xi Delta Omega chapter awards Harford County graduates

Xi Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. awarded 2013 Harford County graduates $8,000 in scholarships for academic achievement. The scholarships were awarded on Saturday, June 8 at a scholarship brunch held at The Sutherland Grille in Aberdeen Proving Ground. Xi Delta Omega Chapter has been in the Harford and Cecil counties since April 24, 1982 and has awarded more than $78,000 in scholarships to assist graduating students in continuing their education at institutions of higher learning.

Xi Delta Omega also held the graduation for the young ladies who participated in the Emerging Young Leaders Program. The Emerging Young Leaders Program is Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.'s signature program for middle school girls. This program helps to develop skills and talents of middle school girls with potential for becoming leaders within their local communities, as well as in other venues.
