KING'S COLLEGE: King's College held its 64th commencement exercises on May 19, when Madeline Schiminger, Forest Hill, received a bachelor of science in medical studies.
BRYANT UNIVERSITY: Bryant University held its 150th commencement on Saturday, May 18. Among the graduates are the following local residents: Raphael Lindsay Jordan, of Bel Air, with a bachelor of science in business administration and management, and Erick A. Smith, of Abingdon, with a bachelor of science in business administration and marketing.
YORK COLLEGE OF PENNSYLVANIA: Shelby Lund of Bel Air, a senior early childhood/special education major, has been named to the Senior Honor Society at York College of Pennsylvania.
Amy Davies of Forest Hill, a senior recreation and leisure administration major, recently earned an award during the college's annual Student Recognition Ceremony. Davies earned the Sylvia C. Newcombe Award, for outstanding contributions to the recreation program at York College through class or student society involvement.
Alaina Szocik of Jarrettsville, a senior nursing major, was presented with a Student Senate Service Award, which recognizes outstanding student service to the College and the community.

DeSALES UNIVERSITY: Veronica G. Roppelt of Forest Hill, graduated with a bachelor of arts in dance from DeSales University on Saturday, May 18.
JUNIATA COLLEGE: Benjamin Daniel Tritsch of Be Air, son of Daniel and Kristen Tritsch, graduated with a bachelor of science in early childhood certification. Tritsch is a 2009 graduate of Bel Air High School.
RANDOLPH-MACON ACADEMY: Peter Blair, the son of Edwin and Linda Wolfe of Stewartstown, has been named to Randolph-Macon Academy's dean's list for the third quarter of the 2012-13 school year. Students with a GPA between 3.3 and 4.0 are named to the dean's list. Blair is a freshman at Randolph-Macon.
ST. FRANCIS UNIVERSITY: Michael Vaughn, a resident of Joppa, received the Intrepid award at the Saint Francis University President's Awards Convocation on April 23. Awards are given to students who are outstanding in their areas of study, and in their dedication to service.
STEVENSON UNIVERSITY: Stevenson University's men's lacrosse team makes school history by advancing to the NCAA Division III national championships. Among the local team members are Garett Flannery of Kingsville, Nicholas Rossi of Bel Air, Dixon Green of White Hall, Peter Green of White Hall, Colin Rayburn of Bel Air, Nicholas Roney of Abingdon, Anthony Roney of Abingdon.
CLOUD COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Gerrae Williams, Aberdeen, participated in Cloud County Community College's commencement ceremony on Friday, May 17 and received a associate of arts.
CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY: Graduating senior Alexa Marquardt from Bel Air was recognized for outstanding academic achievements in elementary education at the Academic Honors Reception on May 10.
CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY: Raymond Lioi of Bel Air earned a master of security analysis and portfolio management and Kathleen Mero of Delta earned a doctor of pharmacy during Creighton University's commencement ceremonies May 18 at CenturyLink Center Omaha. University President Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., presided at both ceremonies.
CURRY COLLEGE: Forest Hill resident Alexis Evers attained membership to the Curry College dean's list for the spring 2013 term.
SALISBURY UNIVERSITY: Bethany-Kate McBee, daughter of Ronald and Theresa McBee of Fallston; Carlee Loeser, daughter of Cary Loeser and Charlene Fiackos of Jarrettsville; Trevor Hirsch, son of Connie and Darryl Hirsch of Bel Air; and Faith Reilly, daughter of Dan and Rita Reilly of Bel Air were recently accepted into Phi Kappa Phi, the international honor society at Salisbury University.
BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE: Emily Higgins, a sophomore majoring in communication studies from Abingdon; Janell Joyner, a senior majoring in computer science from Abingdon; and Emily Smilko, a senior majoring in health and exercise science from Joppatowne, were named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Bridgewater College.
