Edgewood stabbing proves unfounded

A 21-year-old Edgewood woman who told police Tuesday she was stabbed was apparently not assaulted with a weapon, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.

The office sent a press release about the incident, in which 21-year-old Cassandra Tittle was found with a non-life-threatening head laceration on the steps of a home in the 1600 block of Candlewood Court at 6:50 p.m.

Lt. James Eyler said Thursday Tittle was found to have "very minor injuries" and no weapon was actually used.

"We discovered it's basically going to be a second-degree assault by two suspects she knows," he said.

Tittle was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, treated and released.
