A 21-year-old Bel Air man faces a slew of traffic charges after he allegedly hit another car and fled the scene while driving under the influence of alcohol early Friday morning.
Charles Andrew Greer, 21, of the 2000 block of Greylock Court, was charged Friday with driving under the influence, driving while impaired by alcohol, negligent and reckless driving, failure to control speed to avoid a collision, failure to provide insurance information, failure to provide insurance evidence after a crash involving bodily injury, failure to immediately stop at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, failure to return and remain at the scene of an accident, failure of a person involved in a crash to give assistance to the injured person, failure of a driver to furnish the required license and ID and failure of a driver in an accident to report it to the nearest police.
Greer, who refused a Breathalyzer test, was driving a 2008 Ford Mustang south on Route 924 near Plumtree Road around 2:15 a.m. Thursday and came up behind a 2005 Chevy Cobalt driven by Jessica Anna Reese Terry, 22, of the 200 block of Aster Lane in Forest Hill.
Greer's Mustang rear-ended Terry's Cobalt, pushing it out of control and up an embankment, where the car rolled onto its roof.
Terry was taken by ambulance to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.
Greer, who was not injured and allegedly fled the scene, was taken to the Harford County Detention Center and later released on $10,000 bond.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
