( ALLAN VOUGHT | AEGIS STAFF / February 16, 2012 ) Monday, Feb. 13 - The east bank of Winters Run has been washing away, as the stream changed its course just north of the Ma & Pa Trail crossing at right. According to an engineer hired by the county to devise an emergency plan to protect the boardwalk from being undermined, erosion of the bank was accelerated by flooding last year from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. |
