Well, folks, according to the Chinese zodiac, we have entered the Year of the Snake.

Much sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Frank Rinaldi Sr., who passed away at his home in Port on Dec. 24. Special condolences go out to his son, Frank, and his family.

Congratulations to Christine and Steven Farley, off Camp Meeting Ground Road, as they celebrated their very first wedding anniversary on Dec. 29.

The Bainbridge Museum is on its winter break and will reopen in the middle of March.

Caroline Perkins, daughter of Bonnie Perkins, was wished a happy birthday on Jan, 1, as was my cousin, Gary Bitner, formerly of Port. And Gary's brother, Mike, who lives near me on Tome Highway, added a year to his age on Jan. 2. And Gary and Mike's sister-in-law, Bobbi Hasson Bitner, enjoyed birthday greetings Jan. 3.
