Congratulations to the Perryville Boys Track team on winning the 1A Maryland State Championship.

Joyful Noiz, the contemporary group at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will perform at "Heavenly Waters Coffee House" on June 8 (today). The music and fellowship starts at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

The first CGR Relentless 5K and Fun Walk will benefit The Cody G. Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund was successfully held this past June 2 in Perryville. Congratulations to one and all who participated.

Second annual Juke Box Saturday Night is Saturday, June 9, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the Havre de Grace Community Center, 100 Lagaret Drive. A Crab Feast at Ripken Stadium is Aug. 10 starting at 6:30 p.m.; cost is $50 per person with Dennis Bolen of Havre de Grace organizing. He has made a challenge for the class of 1970 – come on our let's see how many of our alumni will make this event. Roger and I went last year and had a blast. So join Dennis and the gang on Aug. 10 for a night at Ripken Stadium, with all you can eat Maryland steamed crabs, corn on the cob, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, soda/water and beer you can. You will receive an Iron Birds baseball cap, for attending. The buffet is for two hours from the start of catering or through the seventh inning (whichever is first). Dennis has 40 tickets available. Dance – Live Band "LIX" on Saturday June 9 from 8 – midnight at the Susquehanna Post 135, 300 Cherry Street in Perryville. Cost is $10 per person (advance sales) $12 at the door. Cost includes draft beer, pretzels and chips. Event benefits the Sons of the American Legion.

Installation of the 2012 – 2013 Grand Officers of Maryland was held the following day after election of officers with the above being installed including the newly elected officers: Associate Grand Patron, William D. Gunn; Grand Secretary, Donna Almony Grand Treasurer, Patty Snell; Associate Grand Conductress, Nancy L. Ford; Grand Trustee, Jon A. Thompson, PGP and Joan E. Morris, PGM;

Following the installation the newly installed Grand Officers, their families, friends and Eastern Star Sisters and Brothers enjoyed their dinner at the Captains Quarters in Ocean City.

On the May 8, the new installed Grand Officers and their traveling companions traveled to the home of the WGP David Hall and his wife Judy's home for a get together. On the seventh, many of the Grand Officers traveled to Daughters of Job 74 for the reception to receive the Junior Past Grand Matron Linda Sanner welcoming her back to Chapter. On the ninth they traveled to Unity 112 for the reception to receive the Junior Past Grand Patron back to Chapter.

The Worthy Grand Matron Sister Debbie and the Worthy Grand Patron Brother David presented the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron Sister Gay Topper and Brother Jim Cloud with their Star Dreamers pin honoring their Grand Visitation.

Congratulations to LeRoy and Ethel Dill who celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on May 30th.
