The challenge to keep Christ in Christmas began several years ago. Since then we have seen efforts across our nation to remove Christ from the public arena.
The local pastors of the Susquehanna Ministerium made the appeal to remember the reason for the season yet again this year, and a number of Havre de Grace residents, businesses and churches have been very gracious in honoring this challenge by displaying a nativity scene during the Christmas holidays. Even more families have joined the effort.
We do want to recognize some of those residents and business for their efforts this year:
First – Ramona Bolen, 749 Tydings Road;
Second – Eloise Williams, 1004 Grace View Drive; and
Third – Don and Blanca Ratzlaff, 2011 Chapel Road; and
Honorable mention – Rowenda Jacobs, 324 N. Adams St.
First – Bahoukas Antique Mall, 408 N. Union Ave.;
Second – McDermott Chiropractic Centre, 319 S. Union Ave.; and
Third – La Cucina Italian Restaurant, 103 N. Washington St.
Thank you to all who have participated and for your efforts in helping keep Christ in Christmas.
