Oops! I always try to have my facts in order before printing anything. Teaching history and geography, as I still do, taught me that. Still I appreciate the phone call from a reader who questioned the location of Patrick Henry's "give me liberty" speech, delivered March 25, 1775 before the Virginia Convention. The convention met at St. John's Church in Richmond, not the Capitol in Williamsburg. Now, you and I know.
All my Scottish readers will be celebrating National Tartan Day, Saturday, April 6. Passed unanimously by Congress (that may be hard to believe) March 20, 1988, the resolution established National Tartan Day to recognize the contributions that Americans of Scottish ancestry have made.

I do not recommend sending me a fax and/or email. The fax machine eats announcements sometimes. It was probably yours. I delete emails from unknowns, sorry. Mail your news or drop it at 226 North Union Avenue or phone 410-939-6562. Thank you. See ya!Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
