Kevin Matthews, a member of Troop 238, completed his Eagle Scout project and received the honor of obtaining his Eagle Scout rank in September. Kevin's Eagle project, finished in April 2012, was for the Harford County Humane Society and consisted of multiple repairs and installations to the large animal barn. His project included installing a 16-by-16-by-4-foot corral and burying a barrier around the perimeter of the barn to prevent predators from entering the barn and harming the animals housed there. A barrier was built below the stall doors, two existing barn gates were repaired and painted and shelves were built in the tack room. Kevin's project involved 101 personal hours and 260.75 total man hours to complete. Kevin is a freshman at C Milton Wright High School and an Eagle ceremony is being planned for the spring.
