The Harford Artists Gallery is holding its Starving Artist Show. All gallery artwork is $99 or less Jan. 4 through Feb. 24 at Rockfield Manor, 503 Churchville Road, Bel Air. On Jan. 12, Friends of the Darlington Library will hold a book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The monthly special has been extended through the winter months. Bring an item from the wish list for the Twice Blessed Thrift Shop and get a free novel. The wish list includes paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, fruit drinks for children, canned fruit and vegetables, baked beans, powdered milk, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise.
Twice Blessed Thrift Shop, at 2115 Shuresville Road in Darlington, is the great place to shop for bargains. Plus, every dollar spent goes right back into the community. Deer Creek Coffee House invites you to their January's performance featuring Dana and Susan Robinson on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The Deer Creek Coffee House is in the parish hall at Grace Episcopal Church, 1022 Main St., in Darlington. Donation of $15 (students $10) covers the artist's fee and supports the food pantry in Darlington.
