The auction date for the Fallston Mall Shopping Center has been postponed; no date has been rescheduled.
The asking price for the 85,000-square-foot shopping center off Belair road will start at $100,000 and be sold "as is."
The primary structure was built in 1979, according to the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxations, and was last purchased by JMJ Fallston Properties in 2004 for $5.2 million from 141 Defense Highway LLC. JMJ, which lists a mailing address in Baltimore, is listed as the center's owner on the department's real property case search, and is referred to as simply JMJ Properties on the company's website.
141 Defense Highway LLC bought the property in 2001 for $2.75 million.
The 13.7-acre Fallston property near the Route 152 intersection is the home of a CVS Pharmacy, Madison Square Federal Savings Bank and, most recently, a Harvest Fare grocery store in the former Acme location.
The auction had been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 but was postponed. According to Alex Cooper Auctioneers, a new date won't be selected until the lawyer handling the property reschedules it with the auction house.
