Bel Air Pediatric Dentistry recently opened an office in Bel Air to provide comprehensive dental care for infants, children and adolescents.
Husband and wife doctors Kapil and Vidhima "Sheena" Davar, who specialize in pediatric dentistry, and the staff at Bel Air Pediatric Dentistry offer early dental care and sedation dentistry for patients from infancy through age 20.
"Early dental care can provide a lifetime of healthy smiles. Children should see a pediatric dentist when their first tooth appears, usually between 6 and 12 months of age, and no later than their first birthday," Kapil Davar said. "From infant teething to healthy eating, we specialize in the unique needs of children, including children with special needs."
Bel Air Pediatric Dentistry provides services that include regular dental checkups, oral hygiene education, fluoride treatments, sealants and tooth-colored fillings. Kapil Davar, who is board certified in pediatric dentistry, holds a doctor of dental surgery from Marquette University in Milwaukee. He completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, where he developed clinical expertise in treating children including children with special needs. He earned his bachelor of science in biology at theUniversity of Wisconsin.
Vidhima Davar holds a doctor of dental surgery from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where she also completed the International Dental Studies program. She completed her residency in pediatric dentistry and received her master's degree in oral biology at the University of Toledo in Ohio.
