The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of Maryland hosted its Leadership In Life graduation ceremony June 20 in Columbia.
The leadership program consisted of six monthly meetings starting in January to enhance skills in attendees' professional and personal lives and to give them the opportunity to enhance their local association.
Nominated to attend from the local Harford/Cecil Association was Rick Carroll, CFBS of Cecil County and Lisa Fulco, LUTCF of Harford County. In return for attending the LILI program, graduates commit to giving back to the leadership and furtherance of their local association. Carroll was inducted in June as the Harford/Cecil Association's 2013-14 president while Fulco is president elect for the following fiscal year.
"This experience has really opened my eyes to how people interact and what qualities successful leaders possess. They are learned and practiced traits which I will be using throughout my life now," Fulco said.
Meetings for the NAIFA Harford-Cecil Association are held on the first Thursday of each month at the HEAT Center in 1201 Technology Drive, Aberdeen, 8 to 11 a.m. Financial professionals and affiliates are encouraged to attend.
