Richard Sparr, Richard Dehne and Marcus Ringold, of the Facilities and Operations Division of the Department of Administration, have been named Harford County Employees of the Month for May 2013, Harford County Executive David R. Craig announced. The three men were chosen for their dedicated efforts in support of the 3rd Annual Employee Food Drive Challenge for the 2013 Harvest for the Hungry campaign.
The three facilities employees were nominated by Jen Davis of the Department of Administration.
"This year's employee food drive challenge included 28 teams that donated approximately 6,260 pounds of food during the course of the week-long campaign. It was the responsibility of these men to ensure that all the donated food was collected from various locations throughout the county. They did so and then transported the food to the Harford Community Action Food Bank," Davis said in her nomination. "These men demonstrate professionalism, dedication, attention to detail and passion for excellence on a daily basis. They are always willing to go the extra mile."
Speaking on behalf of Sparr, Dehne and Ringold, Tim Myers, director of facilities and operations said, "I am thankful to be a part of such a dedicated team here at Facilities. Richard Sparr, Richard Dehne and Marcus Ringold have demonstrated their willingness to do 'whatever it takes to get the job done." The example they set is indicative of the spirit of our division."
"It is a pleasure to recognize the work of these three outstanding county employees. Their dedication, selfless service and exemplary performance throughout the year, but especially during the Harvest for the Hungry campaign, is commendable," Director of Administration Mary Chance said.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
