On Oct. 4, Ames United Methodist Church presented the Community Action Agency, Harford Food Bank in Edgewood with a check for $8,206.77.
The 5th Annual Racing to Feed the Hungry Daily 5K Run and 2K Walk held June 22 at Tollgate Park, drew a crowd of 430 runners and walkers.
The combined total of funds made to date is $40,019.52 and poundage of non-perishables goods is 5,288 pounds.
Pastor Jay Blake of Ames UMC says, "May God multiply and magnify this so that those who need help will receive it."
This event continues to receive overwhelming support.
