An apartment fire in Edgewood early Wednesday morning caused $10,000 worth of damage.

It took 10 firefighters 15 minutes to control the fire at Woodbridge Commons in the 1300 block of Gold Meadow Way. The blaze was discovered by occupants of the three story, wood framed building, according to a Maryland State Fire Marshal news release.

Firefighters responded from Joppa-Magnolia, Aberdeen Proving Ground and Abingdon to the fire at 4:03 a.m. The fire started in a second flood apartment and caused $10,000 in damage to the structure, none in contents, according to the release.
