An Edgewood man charged with threatening a Harford Community College employee is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.
Harford District Court Judge John L. Dunnigan ordered during Monday's bail review hearing that 21-year-old Michael Moon, of the 1300 block of Gold Meadow Way in Edgewood, undergo a competency evaluation.
Moon is charged with disturbing school operations, threatening arson and threatening an employee with bodily harm on school grounds.
Moon told Dunnigan he would be moving soon to be closer to the University of Baltimore, where he is enrolled.
Assistant State's Attorney Mark Meehan said there were "evacuations at Harford Community College with the threats he made."
He added that Moon is banned from the University of Akron in Ohio for "similar threats" made at the college.
Moon also received psychiatric evaluations at Harford Memorial Hospital, Meehan continued, and it was determined he should not "be allowed out into the public."
