Carolyn S. Winn, 9, of Edgewood, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Maryland Pageant to be held Aug. 8 - 10 at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, VA.
The National American Miss pageants are for girls ages 4-18, and have five age divisions. Carolyn will be participating in the Junior Pre-Teen age division, along with other children from Maryland.
The winner of the pageant will $1,000, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses, air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California where she will receive a tour of Hollywood and two V.I.P tickets to Disneyland.
Carolyn's activities include gymnastic and swimming club, and she also enjoys reading, writing stories, swimming, gymnastic, singing and dance as well as role playing.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
