North Harford junior wins award of excellence for dance choreography

The National PTA recently recognized North Harford High School junior Cassidy Miller with an Award of Excellence for Dance Choreography in their 2012-2013 Reflections Art Contest.

Cassidy's interpretation of the Reflections' theme "The Magic of a Moment" was entitled "Gasp." She was one of only three high school choreographers in the entire country to win this coveted award, which includes a $200 cash prize.

Cassidy received the same honor three years ago when she was an eighth-grader at North Harford Middle School. She has been competing in the Reflections contest since she was in third grade.

Cassidy trains at the Rage Box Contemporary Dance Company in Forest Hill. Her winning dance entry can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/user/nationalpta.
