"Big Cy" won the Triple Crown and was the first racehorse in history to eclipse $1 million in earnings. He raced several times at Havre de Grace and as a 3-year-old on the way to his victory in the Derby, most famously losing his only race in 20 starts that year to an unheralded local horse named Saggy (see 1961).
