McDaniel College Sports Hall of Fame

Kenneth Gill, of Severna Park, graduated in 1961, and was one of 27 freshmen in 1957 who signed up for football under newly appointed Coach Bob Waldorf. He started on both offense and defense for three years, and was active in the Student Government Association and other groups. After graduation, he entered the U.S. Army, eventually joining the 101st Airborne Division. Since 2002, he has served as a McDaniel trustee, and led the campaign to build a new stadium, which is now named in his honor.
