Residents of the Finksburg area are invited to an informational meeting on modifications to the Draft Finksburg Corridor Plan, a document that sets goals and guides development along the eastern portion of Route 140 in Carroll County.
The meeting is set for Monday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m. at Sandymount United Methodist Church, 2101 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg.
County planning staff will be on hand to provide an overview of the proposals, and members of the Planning Commission will be available for a question-and-answer session.
The plan is an update to the 1981 Finksburg Area and Environs Comprehensive Plan, and focuses on traffic flow in the corridor, the area's environmental resources and eliminating the growth area designation from certain areas outside the Route 140 corridor.
The full Finksburg Corridor Plan can be viewed online at ccgovernment.carr.org/ccg/compplan/finksburg.
Copies also are available for review at the Finksburg Library, 2265 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg; and at the Department of Planning, Room 205 of the County Office Building, 225 North Center St.., Westminster. For more details, call Andrea Gerhard, at 410-386-2145.
