DEPUTY DOGGED
Nora Jothen, 3, of Westminster, was happy to get her very own police badge — and seemed just as thrilled to meet "McGruff the Crime Dog," during the National Night Out festivities on Aug. 7 in Westminster. Events to make National Night Out were held across the county, including four sites in Westminster hosted by Westminster Police, McDaniel College, carroll Lutheran Village and others; and a Sykesville-Eldersburg event hosted by the Freedom Area Citizens Council.
