Several students from the Carroll County Career and Technology Center were part of Maryland's SkillsUSA delegation that brought home 24 medals from the 49th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, June 24-28.
Alexi Bair, Olympia Serrano and Holly Wagner-Ruckman earned a silver medal in the Promotional Bulletin Board category.
Kara Stone and Zach Teal earned a bronze medal in digital cinema production.
Margaret Toth finished in 10th place in advertising design.
The team of students from the state's Career and Technology Education (CTE) high schools took part in 84 career and technical competitions.
