Maryland State Police are still investigating the death of a 20-year-old Howard County man whose body was found July 31 along a Carroll County road.

State police said that at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, a jogger was running along Patapsco Road in Finksburg about two-tenths of a mile east of Bethel Road, when she saw the body of a man lying on the bank between the roadway and a pasture. She contacted a nearby resident who called 911.

The man was identified as Justin A. Ogle, 20, of the 6100 block of Lori Lane, Elkridge.

Carroll County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene, secured the area and contacted criminal investigators.

Police said there were no visible signs of trauma. The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.

On Thursday, Aug. 2, state police spokesman Greg Shipley said police had determined that Ogle had been with friends in the Westminster area the night before.

Police conducted interviews with several people, he said, but as of Thursday the results of the autopsy were still pending, and there was no determination on the cause of death.

The investigation was continuing, Shipley said.
