The Mountain Club of Maryland conducts hikes, overnight and camping trips and maintains trails.

Sat., April 28, Wolfsville road to High Rock:This 13.5-mile out-and-back hike in Frederick County is one of the more challenging and beautiful sections of the Appalachian Trail in Maryland. The trail has numerous rocky sections. Two major stream crossings. 410 747-2868.

Sun., April 29, Patapsco Valley State Park: This 8 1/2 mile hike along unmarked and unmaintained trails on the Howard County side of the park has numerous stream crossings.410 747-2868.
