Crime Log: Car stolen in Towson from driver stopped at red light

Baltimore County police report that a carjacking occurred on Feb. 21 when a man driving 2006 Infinity M45, stopped at red light, was approached by man with black handgun.

The incident occurred at the corner of Stevenson Lane and Charles Street, between 3:15 and 9 p.m. Feb. 21.

The man knocked on driver's side window with the gun and ordered driver out of car. The thief drove car north on Charles Street.

The victim walked to friend's house and reported the crime.

Cockeysville

Knollcrest Place, 600 block, between 7 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Feb. 23. Laptop, money and Xbox console stolen. Entry through rear glass sliding door.

Gateridge Road, 10500 block, between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Feb. 25. Safe and jewelry stolen and house ransacked. Rear door kicked in.

Timonium

Happy Hollow Road, 12200 block, between 8 a.m. Feb. 16 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 21. Side door forced open and house ransacked. Unknown if anything taken.

Quaker Ridge Road, 300 block, between 12:01 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 23. Photographs stolen after house was entered using key. A neighbor arrested and charged with first-degree burglary. Photos were recovered.

Towson

Regester Avenue, 1400 block, between 6 and 8:05 p.m., Feb. 24. Window was broken at Regester Tire, and the thief stole set of keys and drove off in vehicle from parking lot.

Falls Road, 6000 block, at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 22. Man with semi-automatic gun stole money, Newport cigarettes and cigars from Royal Farms store.

Hillsway Avenue, 7800 block, between 6 p.m. Feb. 22 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 23. A 1998 white Ford E350 van, MD tag 36668M1, stolen from Hillendale Child Development Center.

West Chesapeake Avenue, 600 block, between 11:45 a.m. and 3:20 p.m., Feb. 21. Thief forced entry to house and stole coins and a silverware set from home.
