Caroline Vonasek, of Monkton, was named to the spring 2012 dean's list The University of Rhode Island, Kingston, R.I.

Jessica Kuhn, of Baldwin graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in media arts and design, from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va. in May.

Kelly Jent, of Parkton, recently participated in Salisbury University's 11th annual Student Research Conference. Jent and Allison Adle visually presented "From Presentation to Publication: A History of Disseminating Psychology Teaching Innovations and Interventions."

Kathleen Hallgren, of Monkton, graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology from Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Jacob Barben, of Jarrettsville, and Hannah Rupert, of Freeland, graduated from Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, Pa. in May.

The following students from Notre Dame of Maryland University received senior class awards for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Kelcymarie Bye, of Parkton, received the biology department academic excellence award, was inducted into Kappa Gamma Pi, and graduated as a Morrissy Honors Scholar. Dorothy Engle, of Sparks, received the English department's Barbara and Joseph Carey Award, the Margaret Smith Wasilifsky Award for excellence in prose writing and was inducted into Kappa Gamma Pi and Theta Alpha Kappa, the honor society for theology and religious studies. She successfully completed her teaching apprenticeship and graduated as a Morrissy Honors Scholar.

Megan Uebersax, of Sparks, has been named to Berry College's spring 2012 dean's list at Berry College, Rome, Ga.
