Jenna Loomis, a first-grade teacher at Seventh District Elementary in Parkton, presented a research project findings at the National Council of Teachers of English conference in Las Vegas last month. Loomis has been involved in a four-year study on the impact of global literature on students' reading, writing and self-awareness. The research project is supported by Towson University.
