Police seeking man caught trying to break into Catonsville house

Baltimore County Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man found trying to break into a Catonsville area residence on Jan. 2.

Police said a resident in the 600 block of North Bend Road arrived home at approximately 1 p.m. and found a man attempting to break into the front door of his home. 

The resident confronted the man, who ran away, according to police.

The homeowner was able to photograph the man with his cell phone. 

Police said the black male is 40-50 years old, 5-foot-8 and 220 pounds.

He was carrying a set of hedge trimmers or bolt cutters and a blue nylon bag.
